Hardware components dominate the aerospace and defense C-class parts market

Aerospace and defense c-class parts market includes low cost and high volume commodity parts such as fasteners and bearings. C-class aerospace parts are segmented into four major heads which are hardware components, bearings, electronic components and machined parts for both commercial and military aircraft. C-class parts are small in size and have low cost, but are one of the most critical components used in an aircraft. They are situated across the aircraft including fuselage, wings, landing gear fittings, control surfaces, flight control actuating systems, and air-intake areas near the engine.
Bearings mainly include airframe control bearings, rod ends, ball bearings, needle roller bearings, bushings, and precision bearings. Electronic components include mainly connectors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and lighted products. Machined parts mainly include brackets, milled parts, shims, stampings, and turned parts.
Changing dynamics in the global aerospace and defense industry have an impact on the c-class parts market. For instance, major OEMs, such as Boeing and Airbus are incorporating high amount of composite materials in their next generation aircraft. Composites rich aircraft generally require fewer c-class parts than an aircraft made of traditional non-composite materials. The parts used in next generation aircraft are generally priced higher than c-class aerospace parts used in non-composite aircraft structures.
The global aerospace & defense c-class parts market offers a healthy growth opportunity of 4.4% CAGR during the forecast period of 2016 to 2021 and reach US$ 12.1 billion. Increasing commercial and regional aircraft deliveries, technology advancement, and growing aerospace & defense fleet size are the key drivers in the global aerospace & defense C-class parts market.
Hardware components dominate the global aerospace & defense c-class parts market in 2015, followed by bearings, electronic components, and machined parts. North America is expected to remain the leading region in the aerospace & defense c-class parts market since it is the manufacturing hub of major tier players and aerospace & defense OEMs.
The supply chain of this market comprises raw material manufacturers, c-class part manufacturers, distributors, tier players, aerospace OEMs, and airline companies. The key distributors are Wesco Aircraft, Kellstrom industries, and Aviall Services and the key aerospace OEMs are Boeing, Airbus, Comac, Bombardier, Embraer, ATR, Lockheed Martin, Cessna, and Gulfstream.
The key aerospace & defense c-class part manufacturers are Precision Casts Parts (PCC) Fasteners, Arconic Fastening Systems, Lisi Aerospace, RBC Bearings, Stanley Black & Deker, Eaton Corporation, and Amphenol Corporation. New product development, collaboration with tier players and OEMs, and long term contacts are the key strategies adopted by the major players to gain competitive edge in the market.

Class A RVs Are Taking Hold Of The Market

Class A RVs Are Taking Hold Of The Market

Class A RV sales continuing to rise. January saw the worst of the recession pass. When a recession hits, Class A sales are the first to drop. Watching this sector of the RV market rebound is encouraging. It shows that consumers are feeling more confident in the economy and in their own future.

RV shows are also picking up speed. Consumers are flocking to check out the latest in eco-technology, lightweight travel trailers, pop-up campers and more. Each year, the technology becomes more sophisticated and if the trend continues will draw in more and more RV enthusiasts.

According to Richard Curtain of RVIA, Class A motorhomes are expected to spike 90% in 2010 and continue to increase into 2011, although the increase for next year is expected to show a more gradual growth of 11%. Beaudry RV Company isn’t the only one to notice the rise in sales, Class A sales tripled in June across the country according to RVIA. With 27,000 units sold, Class A motor homes have reached their highest level in more than two years.

The Monaco line of Class A RVs has been really popular this year. Consumers are looking for quality and luxury and Monaco delivers both of those. Other popular manufacturers include Newmar and Forest River. Their brands offer all you could want in a home away from home. Some amenities include leather couches, leather driver and passenger seats, 26″ LCD TVs, cherry wood cabinetry, tile floors and more. At this level, there’s nothing you could want that you can’t have.

As mentioned previously, lightweight travel trailers have also been a bit hit. This is in part due to their economical nature, but also to technological advances that allow them to be pulled behind trucks and mid-size vehicles. Their aerodynamic designs help with fuel economy and they provide enough room for the entire family. These trailers make sense for those looking to spend less but have equal access to comfortable outdoor camping.

Why the gap in interest? High-end items are the first to go when people are unsure of the economy. Those with money are more cautious about spending and tend to invest in properties or other venues that might bring a return on the investment. On the other hand, those struggling to get by aren’t going to spend money unnecessarily. RVs are considered luxury items. Most people do without when times get tough.

The trend of increased sales across both markets show the economy as a whole is getting stronger day by day, month by month.

The sales trend that has continued to grow throughout 2010 is showing great signs of recovery. People are starting to relax and head out on the road again. Vacations are essential to our wellbeing and to our creative and loving processes.

Class A RVs and lightweight travel trailers are stealing consumer’s interest this year. While next year numbers are expected to even out with a slight increase, those looking to buy an RV should know now is a great time to make the investment. Owning an RV will allow you to get out on the road and experience the natural and local attractions around you.
